Two runaway sisters from Texas are missing and believed to be endangered. Elsa Fitch, 16 and her sister Celia Fitch 15, were last seen on February 11, 2010 at their home in Spring Branch, Texas. The girls were discovered missing when the family woke up the morning of February 12.
The girls disappeared sometime in the night with their passports, social security cards, medical and school records. They also cleaned out their personal bank accounts. Friends at school report that the girls told them they were going to Florida or California.
The parents suspect that the girls ran away with someone they met online. Around the holidays, the parents were concerned by Elsa’s frequent Internet use and took away her computer privileges. Elsa has been communicating with a particular woman in San Diego, CA called “Tristan” for several months. They spoke on the phone frequently and online about witchcraft and role playing. The woman also sent a package to the Fitch’s home recently.
A private investigator has been hired for the case. Anyone that has any information on the case should contact Comal County Sheriff's Office (Texas) 1-830-620-3400 or National Center for Missing & Exploited Children 1-800-843-5678 (1-800-THE-LOST).
