Unfortunately, missing children emergencies on vacation are a reality, as in the case of Brittanee Drexel. Please help us bring her home safely.
Brittanee Marie Drexel (pictured right) was last seen leaving a hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC on April 25, 2009 where she was spending spring break. Drexel was 17 years old when she disappeared; she had blonde highlighted hair, was 5 feet tall and weighed approximately 100 pounds. According to http://helpfindbrittanee.com/, "Brittanee and her friends were staying at the Bar Harbor Hotel at 1010 North Ocean Boulevard in downtown Myrtle. She last spoke with her mother, Dawn Drexel, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and also telephoned her boyfriend at 8:00 p.m. that night."
In January 2010 volunteers and law enforcement conducted a search in the area around her suspected disappearance. Last week, a private detective was hired to investigate the case.
If you have any information on this case, please contact the Myrtle Beach Police Department 1-843-918-1300 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at: 1-800-THE-LOST.
