A Missouri 5-year old was found alive in Prewitt, New Mexico Sunday night, nearly 24 hours after his abduction by gunpoint from his family home in Lake Ozark, Missouri.
Police stopped a vehicle with a burned out headlight, and after determining the car was stolen, an officer approached the vehicle, causing the suspect to drive away. Shots were fired at the police and a high speed chase ensued. Officers eventually stopped the vehicle by using a tire-puncturing device. The two suspects fled the vehicle on foot and escaped. Devon Denman was found unharmed in the vehicle.
The suspects are Elizabeth Denman, the child’s non custodial mother, and Mark A. Cochran, a registered sex offender. They are still at large and are considered armed and dangerous.
