Amber DuboisOn February 13, 2009 at around 7:10 a.m., 14 year old Amber vanished on the way to her high school, Escondido High School in California. Investigators found what they believe to be King's body in the area where she had gone running. Gardner was arrested in Escondido and is currently being charged with the murder of Chelsea King.

Police are currently investigating if Gardner is linked to the Amber Dubois case. Gardner's parole ended in 2008 and he lives in the area where Amber and Chelsea went missing.
